Migro 100 My First Impression After 2 Weeks
What is Migro?
Migro is an advanced LED lighting company that was started in 2015 by Shane Torpey. Shane started Migro with an idea to create the most efficient grow lights with maximum yields using minimum power consumption. The Migro lights were developed and built from scratch and from my experience with mine they are built to last and built with quality in mind.
How I found Migro
If you do not know by now I like to do my due diligence and research when it comes to purchasing new items for the grow room. Increasing efficiency and yields in the grow room is should be every grower’s goal. One sure way to accomplish this goal is by having an efficient light with a great par output and spectrum. After reading and watching lots of videos and forums online I was led to the Migro YouTube channel located here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSZwj4zGhH1yklVFxS54qdA This is by far one of my favorite channels to watch and is packed with a ton of knowledge and useful information. Shane goes above and beyond to explain everything in detail and in a way that everyone can understand. If you’re looking to upgrade or purchase a new light I recommend checking out his channel as he compares and tests a lot of the popular led lights on the market and some of you may just be surprised with the results.
My First Impression After 2 Weeks
My first impression with the Migro 100 after 2 weeks is I already want to sell all my other lights and make a switch to be more efficient and save on cooling. Again keep in mind that I only had the light for 2 weeks so far so this is just one of a few blogs I am going to be doing on the Migro. I can honestly say I was happy from the time I was handed the box from the mailman. It was packaged well, shipped fast, and works amazing. My plan was to run the light in a 2×2 and do a comparison test but after posting a poll on Instagram everyone wanted me to put the light to test by flowering with it right away. I now have the light setup in 1 corner of a 5×5 with 4 plants in a 2.5 x 2.5 space and put the plants under the Migro in week 1 to finish out flowering. Once this is finished I will use my 2×2 tents to do a direct comparison test.
Shipping Migro LED’s
Shipping is fast. I posted in one of my previous blogs that shipping might take a bit longer to get the Migro lights where they are located on the opposite side of the world. I was wrong as the light showed up 5 days after it was shipped out. As you can see in the photo above that is the box the Light comes in surrounded and protected by foam. Everything I needed to use the light was included in the box including a free rachet light hanger to hang your light up.
What Comes In The Box
In the box, you will get your Migro light, the driver to run your light that will have a dimmer attached to it. And you will get 1 or 2 extender cords to extend the length of your light. One thing I was very impressed with was the very detailed light manual and instruction guide. From my experience in buying lights, this was by far the most detailed manual I have seen with a light.
Heat & Noise
One big downfall when it comes to some of the LED lights on the market is the noise from some of the fans. They can be loud and overwhelming at times if your growing in a tent inside your home they can be heard throughout the house. The Migro has virtually no noise, The heatsink is built into the light so a fan is not required. I have also tested the Migro in the tent with other LED lights with my intake fans on it raises the temperature by 1 degree and with them off the temperature goes up 6 degrees. After 12 hours of use, I can touch the heat sync but it is very hot letting me know it is doing its job to cool the light down.
What I noticed after 2 weeks
I have the Migro running on 4 plants and I have 2 other lights running plants that are the same strains and sizes. So far the plants under the Migro light look healthier, the buds are about 1.5 times the size of the buds on the other plants, and for the first time in over 10 years growing I am seeing massive spotting of trichomes on the leaves at day 17 or 18 halfway before going into week 3 flower. I will be posting a few more blogs on this light as well as doing some comparison tests as time goes on and I can gather some more results.
Why Buy Migro Lights
This is not a paid review I am just stating facts. If you want to save money on electricity and grow with 1 of the top 3 most efficient lights on the market then you want to be growing with Migro LED’s. You will save money, Increase yields and see happier healthier plants.
Where To Buy Migro Lights
They have their own website that you can purchase the lights from as well as a blog the owner Shane writes that is packed full of useful information just like his Youtube channel.
Flowering Results So Far
I have 2 plants in solo cups that are budding for the Maritime Grown Solo Cup Challenge they are in week 6 the rest of the plants in the photos are just going onto week 3.
So far if I had to rate the light out of a 10 it would be a 10. I am very happy with the quality of the light, the design is compact and overall I am extremely happy with the results I am seeing for only using the light for 2 weeks so far. If your looking to make an investment into your self this is one light I would highly recommend.
